Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) is excited to announce Mrs. Robin Bailey as its newest Literacy Coordinator. As part of the Literacy team, Mrs. Bailey will work with schools to advance the programming and teaching of reading and writing across the division.
Mrs. Bailey started her teaching career in northern Alberta where she worked as the Literacy Lead at St. Theresa School in Wabasca. She moved to Grande Prairie in 2015 and began teaching Grade 3 at Clairmont Community School in 2023. Mrs. Bailey is currently a member of the PWPSD Literacy Roundtable Committee, which is a group of teacher volunteers who work together to trial, report on, and recommend new literacy resources for the division.
Mrs. Bailey says she is excited to officially join the Literacy team. “I will miss the staff and students at Clairmont Community School, but I’m looking forward to using my passion and knowledge of literacy to support student learning at Peace Wapiti Public School Division.” Mrs. Bailey will move to Central Office and begin her literacy role in the fall.
