Peace Wapiti Academy (PWA) is excited to welcome Mr. Julian Camsell to its Administrative team for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
Mr. Camsell, who is in his eighth year at PWA, has been a very active member of the school community, and has taught an array of courses, ran the First Responders program, worked as the Academic Advisor, and has coached both the Cross-Country Running and Track and Field teams. When asked how he feels about becoming Assistant Principal, Mr. Camsell says he is excited for the opportunity to continue to grow with the PWA team. “I’m looking forward to getting to continue working with the PWA school community, learn from the best staff in the business, and continue lasting connections with our amazing students.” He adds that he is incredibly grateful for the mentorship of outgoing principal Mrs. Wanda Gerard.
Mr. Camsell was born and raised in the city and county of Grande Prairie. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alberta, and is currently completing his Master of Education in Teaching, Learning, and Neuroscience through the University of Lethbridge.
