Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) is pleased to welcome two new members to the Inclusive Education team: Mrs. Kasia Pfefferle and Mrs. Nicole Bowman. As Inclusive Education Coaches, they will work to support schools and staff with programming supports for students with diverse needs. Some of their tasks include conducting assessments, overseeing the Individualized Program Planning process, meeting with parents, and assisting with outside agencies.

Mrs. Pfefferle joined PWPSD in 2007 and has experience teaching students in Kindergarten through Grade 8. She has worked as an Inclusive Education Coordinator and Counsellor at Whispering Ridge Community School since it opened in 2018, and says she is eager to use this experience to support a broad range of students, staff, and parents. “I’m looking forward to making strong connections and helping build consistency across our division.” She adds that she loves a good challenge and is excited to join this incredible team.

Mrs. Bowman, who began her PWPSD career in 2009, has taught students from Kindergarten through Grade 9 and has been the Inclusive Coordinator and a classroom teacher at Elmworth School, Helen E. Taylor School and Wembley Elementary School. She says she is looking forward to growing as an educator, supporting children, and connecting with staff in our school communities.

Mrs. Pfefferle and Mrs. Bowman will begin their journeys as Inclusive Education Coaches in the fall.
