Remembrance Day events will be held at PWPSD schools on Tuesday, November 10.

On Wednesday, November 4, 2020, Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) was advised of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 at Harry Balfour School (HBS) and Whispering Ridge Community School (WRCS).

In an interview with 2dayfm GP on November 4, 2020, PWPSD Deputy Superintendent Darren Young discussed the PWPSD Board's current top three 2021-2024 Capital Plan priorities: a new Grades 9-12 high school located east of Grande Prairie, a new K-8 school in the Clairmont area, and a replacement Peace Wapiti Academy located north of Grande Prairie.

​The Government of Alberta has updated the list of symptoms for Albertans under 18, and high school students who are over 18 (see pages 1-2). All other Albertans who are 18 and over, including school staff, will continue to use the original Alberta Health daily checklist.

PWPSD schools honoured the 40th anniversary of the Terry Fox Run with virtual fundraising campaigns and school run events this fall, generating $19,559.90 for cancer research. Many thanks to all PWPSD staff, students and community members for contributing to this worthy cause.

Grande Prairie, AB – On Monday night, October 26, 2020, Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) was advised of a case of COVID-19 at Whispering Ridge Community School (WRCS). School administration communicated the information to families and staff on Monday night.
